Spread of criminal influence and control over the “community” — in Volyn police reported a suspicion of a “spy” behind the correctional colony
Under the leadership of the 27-year-old suspect, other “authorities” established a channel for the supply of drugs to the correctional colony, as well as replenished the so-called “criminal community” in various illegal ways.
Operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Volyn region together with law enforcement colleagues established several facts of illegal actions of the “spy” behind the special agency. The last of the convicts appointed several “spies” in certain “areas of activity”, including drug supply, fraudulent schemes for the sale of goods, and the extortion of monthly “tribute” from the inmates of the correctional colony for supposedly quiet serving their sentences. The funds thus received were directed to a criminal “commons”, the control of which was exercised by the 27-year-old “authority”.
On the basis of the evidence received, the investigators of the police investigative department in the Volyn region informed the so-called “spy” behind the correctional institution about the suspicion. He is charged with establishing and spreading criminal influence in the penal colony (Part 2 of Art. 255-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment and sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances (Part 2 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Earlier, the suspicion of committing similar crimes was also reported to his two accomplices — “spies” in certain “spheres of activity” in this special institution.
The pre-trial investigation continues, a full circle of accomplices of the suspects is established in order to stop their illegal activities and bring them to justice. Procedural guidance in criminal proceedings is carried out by the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office.
