More than four million hryvnias damage: in Rivne region police exposed a group of fraudsters who illegally seized the property of a pensioner
Investigators of Rivne district police department sent to court criminal proceedings on the fact of seizing someone else's property by abuse of trust, according to a preliminary conspiracy by a group of persons, committed on a particularly large scale under part 4 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In the course of the pre-trial investigation, it was established that a 49-year-old native of Zaporizhzhya region, a resident of Rivne district, together with a 42-year-old acquaintance of Equina and another person not yet identified by the investigation, using forged documents, created a legal entity by submitting documents with knowingly false information the real estate of a 70-year-old resident of Rivne in particularly large sizes was seized by the real estate of a 70-year-old resident of Rivne in order to carry out state registration and contribution to the authorized capital of the specified business entity.
Thus, the attackers seized four land plots of the victim, a new building and a residential building, causing the pensioner losses in the total amount of 4 085 615 UAH, which is more than six hundred times the non-taxable minimum income of citizens at the time of the crime.
Investigators gathered enough evidence in the case and recently sent criminal proceedings with an indictment against a 49-year-old resident of Rivne district to court.
A circumstance aggravating the punishment is the commission of a crime against an elderly person.
The 42-year-old accomplice of the organizer is currently in the Court of Appeal challenging the suspicion of committing a crime.
The criminal proceedings against the third person not identified by the investigation have been separated and are currently being investigated by the investigators of Rivne District Police Department.
For his actions, the accused faces up to 12 years in prison for confiscation of property.
