More than UAH 3 million of “profit” from the drug laboratory - members of a criminal group were detained in Volyn
The capacity of the laboratory allowed the production of up to four kilograms of “amphetamine” every month. In order not to get into the field of view of the police, the attackers constantly changed its location. Yesterday, May 23, 4 members of the group were detained.
Operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Volyn region and investigators of the regional police uncovered and documented the activities of the group, as well as the location of the drug laboratory and the channels of sales of the psychotropic substance “amphetamine”.
According to the investigation, a “criminal authority” organized and controlled the drug business, which was placed on the sanctions list. Four local residents helped him. In order to conspire the activities of the drug groupings, the location of the laboratory was constantly changing. In addition, the cars used in the “work” were also changed.
The capacity of the laboratory allowed the attackers to produce up to 4 kg of psychotrope every month and bring more than three million hryvnias of “profit”. “Amphetamine” was sold to residents of the Volyn region with the help of “bookmarks” and “from hand to hand”.
Yesterday, May 23, the police detained 4 members of the group, of which three - directly during the sale of “amphetamine”. During the authorized searches, 500 g of psychotrope, 1.5 kg of precursors were seized, the cost of which at “black market” prices reaches one million hryvnias, as well as 4,700 dollars. USA, weapons and special equipment. In addition, a cannabis plantation was discovered at the residence of one of the detainees.
All detainees have already been informed of suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues (Art. 307);
- Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment of precursors (Art. 311);
- organization or maintenance of places for the illegal use, production or manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues (Art. 317).
The issue of choosing preventive measures is being resolved.
