More than UAH 15 million in losses to the state during the transfer of property rights to housing - the former deputy head of the Ministry of Defense was informed of suspicion
Operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations with law enforcement colleagues exposed the wrongful activities of the defendant.
Being in the position of deputy head of one of the institutions, the man signed acts of acceptance and transfer of property rights to apartments to the controlled company. The properties belonged to the Defense Department and were located in the Darnitsky district of the capital. The price per square meter in the signed documents was halved. The exhibitor knew for sure the real price of housing, but still signed the acts.
The amount of damage caused by the actions of the attacker reaches 15 million UAH, which confirms the conclusion of the examination.
On the basis of the evidence received, SBI investigators under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General informed the exhibitor of suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 191 (appropriation, squandering of property or possession of it by abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to 12 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with confiscation of property.
A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
