Police prevented raider harvest attempt in Vinnytsia region
Yesterday, September 12, in the village of Pliskiv of Pogrebishchensk united territorial community, fighters of the special police company detained 16 armed men, residents of different regions of Ukraine, during a forcible attempt to seize the harvest of the local agricultural society. In their cars, police seized weapons and drugs.
Information that unknown aggressive men were gathering near the field came to the police from local residents. The police prevented unlawful acts on the part of visitors and detained all suspects aged between 20 and 45 years.
According to the deputy head of the GUNP in Vinnytsia region Igor Volokitenko, in the cars of offenders police seized a pistol, knives, with signs of cold weapons, narcotic substances and other items prohibited in free circulation.
The attackers were taken to the police station and the circumstances of the incident were clarified. The cars of the attackers are placed on the arrest site.
The seized weapons and narcotic substances are sent for examination.
The investigation initiated criminal proceedings under three articles of the Criminal Code: Article 356 (self-righteousness), Part 1 of Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons, war supplies or explosives) and Part 1 of Article 309 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or transportation the distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues without a marketing purpose). Such crimes are punishable by up to 7 years in prison.
