Police ensure law and order during midterm and re-elections

More than 3.5 thousand law enforcement officers were involved in ensuring law order during the voting. 91 territorial election commissions and 235 district election commissions have been established on the territory of the state.

Today, March 28, there are intermediate and repeated elections of deputies of village, village, city councils (territorial communities with the number of voters up to 10 thousand), rural settlements, city heads. All areas are under round-the-clock protection of law enforcement officers. Elections are held in all regions of Ukraine. In particular, in Donetsk and Ivano-Frankivsk oblasts there are midterm elections of people's deputies of Ukraine.

To ensure public safety and order, more than 3.5 thousand police officers, soldiers of the National Guard and the State Emergency Service were involved. Mobile reserves of law enforcement officers have also been created.

The main task of the police is to ensure the safety of citizens and conduct fair elections. Law enforcement officers will respond promptly to statements and messages related to the electoral process. At the same time, the police will monitor the observance of quarantine restrictions at the police stations.
