Today, during the meeting, the representatives of the EMES handed over to the head of the police of the Odessa region Oleg Beha and his deputy Sergey Makhotyn more than 250 units of equipment — body cameras, DVRs, tablets, printers, laptops and webcams.

The equipment was received by the response team of the patrol police, the juvenile prevention department, the tourist police and the investigators. The new equipment will help them respond in time to citizens' appeals, more effectively maintain law and order on the streets and detect crimes, conduct preventive classes with children in the form of online meetings and perform other tasks aimed at ensuring people's safety.

“From the entire staff of the Odessa region police, I thank the mission, which was invited by the government of our country to carry out reforms in the civil security sector. We have made significant progress in the reforms with the dialogue police, which communicates with citizens on a daily basis, and we hope for further fruitful cooperation in the field of human rights observance,” said the head of the regional police Oleg Beh.
