Kyiv police detained the attacker who threatened to blow up the house with gas and deal with the policemen
Police officers of Belotserkivshchyna together with patrolmen arrived to call about domestic violence, but the man attacked the law enforcement officers with an ax and threatened the lives of the residents of the house.
So, on the evening of November 16, a resident of Bila Tserkva turned to the police and reported that his 65-year-old uncle was behaving extremely aggressively. At the scene, law enforcement officers determined that the attacker was in the apartment with a knife and ax in his hands, swearing and promising to harm everyone around him.
Patrols tried to enter the apartment using an assault shield, but the man began throwing glass jars at police officers, issuing death threats, shortening the distance and swinging an ax, hitting the assault shield several times. At the request of police officers to stop illegal actions, the attacker did not respond.
Subsequently, employees of the special purpose regiment of the Kiev region police arrived at the scene, stormed the house and detained the offender in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
On this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 1 of Art. 348 (Invasion of the life of an employee of a law enforcement agency, a member of a public formation for the protection of public order and the state border or a serviceman) and under Part 1 of Art. 259 (Knowingly false reporting of a threat to the safety of citizens, destruction or damage to property). Criminal Code of Ukraine. For his actions, a man faces imprisonment for a term of ten to fifteen years or even life imprisonment.
