Dnipro Police Detain Two Suspects in Attempt on Life of Civic Activist
Today, investigators will apply to the court with a request for the selection of a preventive measure in the form of detention for suspects.
To detain intruders, the police conducted a number of operational measures, examinations, and interviewed witnesses of the crime. As a result, law enforcement officers established that two men - 28 and 36 years old, residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region - were involved in the attempted murder of the woman. The first suspect, a 28-year-old man, was detained on July 22.
During the search activities, the police established the whereabouts of the second man. He is hiding from law enforcement agencies in Zaporizhzhya region. On July 23, he was detained and taken to Dnipro.
Police of DCR, Criminal Investigation Department of GUNP in Dnipropetrovsk region, Department of Criminal Analysis and Strategic Investigations with the participation of investigators of Dnipro District Police Department and Police Department No. 1 of the city were involved in the search and arrest of the perpetrators. Currently, two men have been served with a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 15 Clause 12 Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Attempted Murder).
