Today, November 2, in Square V. During a working visit to Vinnytsia Oblast, Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine Oleksandr Facevych handed over 21 Renault Duster cars and pump rifles to police officers working in the amalgamated territorial communities. The cars were purchased within the framework of the project “Community Police Officer”. Three more service cars were purchased by the National Police for the needs of other police units.

The events were attended by the Head of the Main Department of the National Police in Vinnytsia Oblast Ivan Ishchenko, the Head of the Regional State Administration Sergey Borzov, the Chairman of the Regional Council Vyacheslav Sokolovyi, the Deputy Mayor Serhiy Tymoshchuk, the head of the territorial communities and the police officers of the community.

Thanks to the cooperation of the police with local authorities and self-government, Vinnytsia Oblast became the first region in Ukraine where all territorial communities supported the initiative of the police in creating this security project and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. Communities will help ensure that police officers who care about the safety of their residents are provided with a workplace, a car and housing.

The “Community Police Officer” is today no longer a project, but a working unit that has a high level of trust and good results. Thank you to the leaders of territorial communities for understanding the issue of safety in your communities. You are doing an important thing, bringing the police, as the central executive body, closer to the population,” said Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine Oleksandr Facevych.

Oleksandr Fatsevich also stressed that the purchase of cars by territorial communities for their police officers is the result of effective cooperation and trust.

“We see the result of successful communication between the National Police of Ukraine, the authorities, the heads of territorial communities and society. Vinnytsia region was one of the first regions to join this project. To date, we have 31 single police stations, and we will not stop there. We will cooperate with all 63 communities so that the community has a police station, a community officer and there is comfortable transport”, - said the head of the regional state administration Sergey Borzov.

“This year, in February, we started the development of this project in Vinnytsia region, quickly began to implement it. I believe that in this way the Vinnytsia region will become even safer, because this is our main goal,” said the head of the police of Vinnytsia region Ivan Ishchenko.

As Ivan Ishchenko noted, 56 police officers already work in the communities of the region. In addition, 36 police officers who have been selected for the positions of community officers are now undergoing special training and will start work soon.

Oleksandr Fatsevich also handed the keys of two Peugeot 301 cars to employees of the Khmelnytsky district police department and from the Ford Transit minibus to the police of the convoy service company. These cars were purchased at the expense of the National Police of Ukraine.

Recall that on September 14, police officers who already work in the communities of Vinnytsia region received 22 cars.
