Police detained a citizen who caused gunshot wounds to a resident of Kropyvnytskyi
The incident occurred on December 27 at about 6 am in the regional center. An unknown citizen during a conflict with two local residents fired several shots from an air weapon. A 31-year-old man was injured, who died on the spot before the ambulance arrived.
An investigative and operational team, employees of the criminal investigation department of the regional head and other operational services were called to the scene of the incident, and the operational plan “Siren” was put into effect.
Thanks to the professional actions of the police, the identity of the attacker and his possible direction of movement were established within a few hours.
As a result of further coordinated joint actions of the police of Kirovograd region and the Main Directorate of the National Police in the city. Kyiv, with the involvement of employees of the special unit KORD, a man involved in the crime was detained in the capital.
He turned out to be a 24-year-old resident of the Kirovograd region.
Police officers initiated criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 115 (Premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of 7 to 15 years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
