Police detained a man over the shooting in Uman
A 33-year-old Israeli citizen was detained. Investigators of the Uman district police department opened criminal proceedings on the fact of hooliganism.
On August 24, Uman district police department received a report of a clash between men and shooting in the street at about 13:00 hours.
As a result of the incident, a 38-year-old fugitive was injured. The man was hospitalized in Uman Central Hospital. At the moment, his life and health are not in danger.
Law enforcement officers inspected the scene, interviewed witnesses and eyewitnesses, and established the identity of the attacker. He was a 33-year-old Israeli citizen living in Uman.
Now the offender is detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the collected information on this fact is included in the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under Part 4 of Art. 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for three to seven years in prison.
Under the procedural guidance of the District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Uman, the issue of declaring suspicion and choosing a preventive measure for the detainee is resolved.
