Police of Kherson region for the second time exposed a man in poaching and causing damage to the state for almost a quarter of a million hryvnias
Yesterday, May 5, employees of the police activity sector on the water of the Kherson regional administration worked out the waters of the Black Sea. During the raid, inspectors near the island. Kalanchatsky, belonging to the nature reserve fund, discovered an industrial fisherman. As it turned out, the man was engaged in the extraction of aquatic biological resources without permits.
According to the head of the police unit Maxim Zharkov, during the inspection, the police found that the man did not have permission for the special use of water biological resources in the territories of the reserve fund. For mining, he used 25 yeaters, 4 of which were unbroken. Also, the police found that on a boat with a Mercury engine of 30 horsepower, the fisherman does not have any permits.
Floats, fishing gear and aquatic life resources contained in them were seized. According to preliminary estimates, the losses caused to the state are estimated at least 240 thousand hryvnias. The man is already a defendant in criminal proceedings, also opened on the fact of water poaching (Part 1 of Article 249 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
