Lviv region: Police establish circumstances of collision of passenger car with scheduled bus
As a result of the accident, 7 people were injured, including a 9-year-old boy.
The accident occurred today, January 9, at 09.30 on the road “Lviv-Radekhiv-Lutsk” near the village of Novy Stav, Lviv district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the Mazda car, a 35-year-old resident of the Volyn region, failed to drive, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with the bus “BAZ” connecting Radekhiv-Lviv under the control of a 59-year-old resident of one of villages of Chervonograd district.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the car and two of his passengers - a 9-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman, residents of Lutsk, received bodily injuries and were hospitalized. Also injured were the bus driver and three of his passengers aged 22, 33 and 46 — all residents of Lviv district — all residents of Lviv district.
Previously on this fact, the investigators of the territorial police unit opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is up to three years of restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years. Law enforcement officers establish all the circumstances of the incident.
