Police seized 2 million hryvnias worth “goods” from two capital drug dealers
Men sold prohibited substances through “bookmarks”. They offered cocaine, ecstasy, LSD and other types of drugs and psychotropics to their clients. They have already been informed of the suspicion and chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to make bail.
Operatives of the Metropolitan Department for Combating Drug Crimes together with the investigators of the Darnitsky Police Department during the implementation of operational information detained two local residents who were involved in the sale of drugs and psychotropics through “bookmarks”.
Police found that dealers received wholesale batches of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. “Goods” they packaged in batches in a rented apartment, which was equipped for a warehouse and a packing shop. In the future, ready-made “bookmarks” schedules on the territory of the capital.
Law enforcement officers detained the defendants as they went to make another batch of “bookmarks”. During a search of their car and rented apartment, the police seized more than six kilograms of drugs and psychotropics, including: cocaine, amphetamine, cannabis, Alpha PVP, psilocybin mushrooms, as well as five thousand ecstasy pills and more than a thousand brands of “LR” SD”. According to preliminary estimates, the amount of seized prohibited substances at “black” market prices is about 2 million hryvnias.
Investigators have already informed drug dealers about suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. And the court chose preventive measures for them in the form of detention with the right to make bail: for a 21-year-old - 340,500 hryvnias, for a 25-year-old - 181 600 hryvnias, respectively. The issue of imposing an arrest on the car and other property of the defendants is also being resolved.
For what he has done, he faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to ten years with confiscation of property.
