Police officers sent to court a case on theft of gas condensate at the branch of “Poltavagzavydobuvannya”
The stolen raw materials were sold by intruders through a network of gas stations. The amount of damage caused is almost half a million hryvnias.
The criminal “scheme” and its organizers were exposed by the operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Poltava region together with the investigators of the regional police department.
The Board established that employees of the Poltavagasvydobuvannya branch and the gas station network are involved in the organization. They stole raw materials by illegally selecting them from the technological pipelines of the Chutov Complex Gas Preparation Plant (UKPG). In order to hide their activities, the hijackers removed gas condensate from the territory of the enterprise by official and their own cars. In the future, they sold gas condensate through a network of gas stations. As a result of the activities of the attackers, losses of almost 500 thousand hryvnias were caused.
Yesterday, August 27, the police officers, in agreement with the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office, sent to the court an indictment against the organizer and two members of the group. The actions of intruders are qualified under Part 2 of Art. 27 Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
For theft of someone else's property in large quantities, the current legislation provides for liability - imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with confiscation of property.
