Police continue to monitor public safety at the pilgrimage center in a reinforced mode
The night during the Rosh Hashanah celebration passed quietly.
During the day, the police received 13 statements and reports about events related to the stay of Hasidic pilgrims on the territory of Ukraine. According to the results, the police opened one criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 309 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues without the purpose of sale) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and drawn up two administrative protocols on violation by foreigners and stateless persons of the rules of stay in Ukraine and transit passage through the territory Ukraine. Police officers monitor the situation in the pilgrimage center.
Recall: more than 29 thousand Hasidic pilgrims arrived in Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. About a thousand law enforcement officers patrol the streets of the city during the Jewish New Year around the clock.
A police situational center has been deployed in the pilgrimage area, enabling a coordinated and efficient exchange of operational information between all services. Also in the city of Uman there is an interdepartmental operational headquarters, which includes representatives of the National Police, the State Emergency Service, the National Guard and the Migration Service.
