Kyiv region: Police have exposed a criminal group of manufacturers of counterfeit luxury shoes and accessories
It was established that 5 people organized an underground workshop where they sewed things of famous world brands, which were later sold under the guise of the original in stores of the capital and the region, as well as through online stores throughout Ukraine. The price of belts started at $300, and a pair of shoes cost $500.
Law enforcement officers conducted a series of searches in the premises of the ateliers and shops of the defendants, where they seized as material evidence counterfeit products, shoes, bags, belts, as well as 16 crocodile skins, special stamps for the manufacture of counterfeit shoes and accessories, headsets and pseudo-fertilizers packaging.
According to this fact, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 4 of Art. 190 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a period of five to twelve years with confiscation of property.
