Police of Kyiv region sent to court another indictment in relation to a criminal group accused of killing Amina Okueva and director of SE “Kaparol”
The organization included 7 people who committed murders in the capital and Kyiv region during 2013-2019.
The participants of the group acted according to a pre-developed plan. The purpose of the activities of the criminal organization was the systematic commission of premeditated murders on orders for selfish motives.
The group organizer clearly distributed the roles and functions among the participants. The head, together with the coordinators, developed plans for the commission of crimes, provided instructions to other participants, financed the direct perpetrators of crimes, monitored their actions, and also took measures against the conspiracy of illegal activities. The attackers planned and carried out their activities in stages. The functions of other participants and direct perpetrators of crimes were to obtain information about the objects of criminal aggression, ways of approaching and leaving the places of crimes, search for vehicles, firearms and cold weapons, means of communication with each other, necessary for committing premeditated murders.
In February 2021, the investigators of the Kiev police under the procedural leadership of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office sent to the court an indictment against a criminal group on the facts of a number of premeditated murders, in particular the director of the SE “KAPAROL of Ukraine”, as well as a public activist Amina Okueva.
Currently, attackers are charged with a number of other crimes. Thus, in March 2013, after collecting information about the lifestyle of the director of one of the construction enterprises, attackers tracked him down in the Darnitsky district of the city of Kiev, where they inflicted numerous blows on the head with a bat, which caused multiple fractures of the skull bones. As a result, the man died at the scene.
In addition, in September 2019, gang members received an “order” to create conditions for one of the private entrepreneurs in which he would feel danger to his life and his family members in order to transfer property to the “customer”. So, having received information about the place of residence of the entrepreneur, the defendants threatened the man, with the help of an incendiary mixture, set fire to his house.
Currently, employees of the Investigative Department of the Kyiv Police Department together with the investigators of the Darnytsky Police Department in the city. Kyiv, under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, completed the pre-trial investigation and sent the indictment to the court.
The defendants are accused of committing crimes provided for in Part 3 of Art. 28 (Committing a criminal offense by a group of persons, a group of persons by prior conspiracy, an organized group or a criminal organization) paragraph 6, 11 part 2 of Art. 115 (Intentional Murder), Part 4 of Art. 189 (Requisition), Part 3 of Art. 28 Part 2 of Art. 194 (Intentional destruction or damage to property).
The maximum penalty that threatens the defendants is life imprisonment.
