Police officers of Ivano-Frankivsk region establish the causes of the fire in the medical institution where people died
The fire occurred on the ground floor of the intensive care unit of the Kosiv Central District Hospital. As a result of the fire, three people died, another person died from coronavirus disease. In addition, three people were injured.
On December 28, a message was received on line “102” that a fire had broken out on the ground floor of a four-story building in Kosovo. We are talking about a medical institution.
An investigative task force, investigators of the investigative department, forensic experts, rescuers and other emergency services immediately arrived at the scene.
Rescuers immediately evacuated people from the hospital, and later extinguished the fire.
It is preliminarily established that three people died in the fire, another person died from coronavirus disease. All of the dead were hospital patients.
In addition, three more people were injured as a result of the fire. They were hospitalized in Ivano-Frankivsk OKL.
At the scene, police officers provide protection of public order. Investigators carry out the first necessary measures to establish the circumstances and causes of the fire.
Information about the event is entered in the journal of the Unified Accounting of applications and reports of committed criminal offenses and other events. Investigators at the end of the inspection of the scene will decide on the opening of criminal proceedings.
