Near Vinnitsa, rescuers eliminate the consequences of a car accident in which a tanker with ammonia overturned
On December 3, at 6:23 a.m., the Rescue Service “101” received a message that a car used to transport gas overturned on the Cherkasy highway in Vinnytsia on the M30 Stryi-Ternopil-Kropyvnytsky-Znamyanka-Luhansk-Izvaryne highway.
Upon arrival at the scene of the incident of the rescuers of the DPRH-5 regional center, it became clear that there really was an overturning of a tank, in which liquefied ammonia (anhydrous) is located. The tank capacity is about 19 tons.
At 9:40 a.m., work began on pumping ammonia from the tank.
A mobile operational group of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service operates at the scene, additional forces and means are involved — a group of RKHBZ, a truck crane, OKC and DPRCh-3 (a total of 31 personnel and 9 units of special equipment).
