The issue of separation of the State Fiscal Service, the State Emergency Service, the National Police and the National Guard from the Ministry of Internal Affairs is not considered - Denis Monastyrsky
This was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky on the air of the program “Right to Power”.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the migration crisis at the border with the EU demonstrated the impossibility of such separation and the need to consolidate all forces.
“The main message is the consolidation of all efforts. It is currently impossible and impractical to separate border guards, the National Guard, the National Police and the State Service of Ukraine from emergency situations, so now this issue is not on the agenda,” the minister said.
Denis Monastyrsky stressed that now it is important to unite all the efforts of the public, as it was in 2014.
Yesterday, November 11, the Minister of Internal Affairs during a working trip to Volyn met with residents of the city of Shatsk, which is geographically located near the Belarusian and Polish borders.
“All units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with local communities, will ensure proper protection of the residents of the border zone. Only by joining forces will we fulfill our main function — community safety. I call on the leaders of the AHs to help in the deployment of National Guard soldiers. It is quite cold now, so far the guards are stationed in tents close to the state border. We need to ensure their better location during the busy weeks that await us,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also stressed that it is important to understand what potential threat currently exists.
“Thousands of people in Belarus on the border with Poland are trying to break through — adults, women and children. They are being turned towards Belarus. It is possible that this scenario can be implemented a few kilometers from you. We have to be ready for it,” he said.
Recall that the border with Belarus will be additionally protected by 8.5 thousand soldiers of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, NGU and police officers.
Also identified 10 areas of possible approach of migrants from Belarus.
