Forgery of COVID documents: 123 criminal proceedings started in a week

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1236 “On the establishment of quarantine and the introduction of restrictive anti-epidemic measures in order to prevent the spread in Ukraine of the acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2”, police officers are required to conduct selective checks of documents confirming Covid safety.
Thus, from November 29 to December 5, law enforcement officers initiated 123 criminal proceedings on the facts of forgery and use of COVID documents.
Police investigators reported 40 people on suspicion of committing an offense. 43 indictments were directed to the court.
