Fake PCR tests discovered on the border with Russia and Romania

Fake PCR tests this weekend were discovered by the border guards of the Izmail and Sumy detachments.

At the ferry checkpoint “Orlivka” law enforcement officers immediately discovered 8 fake PCR tests. Citizens of Ukraine on the Volkswagen minibus returned home, but during a detailed study of the documents provided for control, the border guards found that the seals and signatures on the test forms were made using an inkjet printer.

On the fact of detection of signs of a criminal offense, provided for in Art. 358 CCU, border guards sent a message to the National Police.

And in Sumy region, a Moldovan citizen presented a fake certificate of PCR testing for COVID-19 to border guards.

The foreigner was heading from the Russian Federation to Ukraine through the checkpoint “Bachivsk”. In the course of communication with law enforcement officers, the man admitted that he did not pass testing for COVID-19, and he purchased the certificate from unknown persons for 3000 Russian rubles.

Currently, a 40-year-old citizen of Moldova has been denied a passport and banned from entering Ukraine for 3 years.

In addition, on the detection of signs of a crime under Art. 358 Criminal Code “Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps”, a message is sent to the National Police.
