The state vaccine was sold clandestinely: law enforcement officers of the Kiev region exposed a criminal scheme to embezzle drugs
Police conducted 6 authorized searches in the premises of one of the psycho-neurological boarding schools of the region and in the administrative premises of the regional territorial community.
The investigation found that the managers of these institutions sold to outsiders for money the coronavirus vaccine, which was allocated for the patients of the institution as part of the Presidential Program for Vaccination of Unprotected Populations.
The criminal scheme was exposed by the employees of the Buchansky district police department together with the employees of the Buchan district prosecutor's office under the operational support of the SSR in the Kiev region of the SSR NPU and with the support of KORD fighters.
Thus, within the framework of the COVAX Mechanism, a number of public institutions received a vaccine to vaccinate unprotected segments of the population. However, the officials of the Orphanage and the Borodyan Settlement Council sold these drugs to persons who do not fall under the list of priority layers I and II stages of vaccination. Law enforcement officers recorded 14 cases of receiving illegal benefits by officials for distributing vaccines.
According to this fact, criminal proceedings under Part 3 and Part 5 of Article 191 (Appropriation, embezzlement of property or possession by abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine have been opened. Officials face imprisonment from seven to twelve years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years and with confiscation of property.
