During the mass events on the occasion of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine, the police continue to ensure order
Thus, in Chernihiv and the region more than one and a half hundred police officers followed order during the celebrations on the main square of the city. After the live broadcast of the President's address from the Maidan, numerous participants laid flowers at the memorial steles “Heroes do not die” in honor of the dead ATO/PLO soldiers and Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, honoring the memory of those who gave the most precious — life, in the struggle for independence and territorial value Forestry of our country. Also, baskets with yellow and blue flowers lay at the foot of the monuments to the Fighters for the Will of Ukraine and the famous Kobzar — Taras Shevchenko.
In the Vinnytsia region, almost 400 police officers ensure law and order during mass events. In total, more than 30 events are planned, in which more than 14 thousand residents and guests of the city and region will take part. In crowded places, the dialogue police work.
The last few days, the personnel of the department of the patrol police of the Kherson region and, like other police units on the territory of Ukraine, has been serving in an enhanced mode. So even today, additional crews and patrols went out on the streets of Kherson. Inspectors protect public order during mass events, monitor compliance with traffic rules, block and restrict traffic in designated areas.
Celebrations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence were held at the Main Directorate of the National Police in Ternopil Oblast. For the fifth year, public holidays for Ternopil law enforcement officers have been overshadowed by a sad event — on August 23, 2016, during the performance of official duties, two employees of the Borshchiv police department — Oleksandr Rudyk and Andriy Chernyatynskyi — died. Police officers honored colleagues with a minute of silence. On the occasion of the holiday, the car fleet of the Ternopil police was replenished with new cars.
In the Chernivtsi region on the occasion of the Day of the State Flag and the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of independence of Ukraine, about half a hundred mass events were held on the territory of the Chernivtsi region. The estimated number of participants of the celebrations is more than 5 thousand citizens. To respond promptly to any threats to the safety of citizens, a sufficient reserve of police personnel, preventive communication groups, documentation, as well as reinforced investigative-operational and explosive teams have been created. Soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine will be involved in the service on the streets together with the police.
On the occasion of the celebration of the Independence of Ukraine on the territory of Poltava region, more than 50 mass events are planned, at which about 14,000 participants are expected. Public order and security are provided by more than 220 police officers.
Celebrations were held in Kharkiv on the occasion of Independence Day of Ukraine. The event was attended by about 1800 citizens. The observance of public safety and order was monitored by 65 police officers and 25 servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine. During the day, various festive events will be held on the territory of Kharkiv and the region on the occasion of the national holiday. The Kharkiv police urge citizens to comply with the current legislation and not to violate order.
The police of Luhansk region is serving in an enhanced mode to ensure public safety and order in all corners of the region.
On the 30th anniversary of the Independence Day of Ukraine, the Zaporizhzhya police joined the solemn passage of military units of the garrison. It was attended by servicemen of the 55th artillery brigade “Zaporizhzhya Sich”, a unit of the military law and order service “Sarmat”, fighters of the 9th regiment of operational purpose named after the Hero of Ukraine Bohdan Zavada and 23 separate brigade of public order protection of the National Guard of Ukraine, Berdyanets Border Patrol, employees of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhya region and patrol police, rescuers of the State Emergency Service.
