Freshmen of KHNUVS took the Oath of a police officer
The events on the occasion of the introduction to the Oath of the police officer of the first-year students took place at the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs today, October 14. Nearly 700 future specialists of National Police units vowed to faithfully serve the Ukrainian people, to protect constitutional rights and freedoms.
Among the first-year students — representatives of many regions of Ukraine — the largest number from Kharkiv — 254, 109 from Donetsk, 52 from Poltava, 39 from Luhansk, 30 from Sumy, 25 from Zaporizhia, as well as from Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kyiv, Volyn, Vinnytsia, Rivne, Chernivtsi, Cherkasy, Khmelnytsky, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Zhytomyr and Lviv regions.
On behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky, the College of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine congratulated the first-year Deputy Minister Mary Akopian: “Right now you are creating a new page of your life record, joining all generations of defenders and defenders of Ukraine who have been voting for ages They have the right to make our history on our land. Symbolically, you declare a solemn pledge of loyalty to the Ukrainian people on the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine. I believe that you will not betray those inviolable words, the price of which is greater than life. Soon you will ensure the safety of citizens and peace in society. Each of you will have a chance to test yourself. Your success tomorrow will depend on studying today, so your main task is to learn to acquire knowledge, to be inquisitive, proactive and persevering.”
The Deputy Minister also presented awards to the employees and cadets of the university for exemplary performance of official duties, personal initiative and dedication.
The head of the GUNP in Kharkiv region Stanislav Perlin congratulated the freshmen on the remarkable event: “Today, the solemn pledge of loyalty to the Ukrainian people has added you to a large family of police officers and united with all generations of defenders of Ukraine. Society expects from the National Police to ensure the protection of rights and freedoms, the creation of conditions for the safe existence of each person. It is a high trust and a great responsibility!”
Rector of the University Valery Sokurenko stressed that the oath is taken once and for life: “I am convinced that this day will be engraved in your heart forever. Today, your most important task is to study conscientiously and persistently, to get an education. Teachers, coaches, commanders, mentors will pass on their knowledge and experience to you, educate and serve with you throughout your years at the university.”
