Freshmen of DonDUVS took the oath of an employee of the National Police of Ukraine
Today, October 14, 2021 at Freedom Square in the city. Mariupol held a solemn ceremony of taking the Oath of Police Officer by first-year cadets of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs with the participation of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko.
For the first time in the 60-year history of the institution of higher education, 375 first-year students from 17 regions of the country took the oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people at the university, who aim to work in the units of the National Police of Ukraine.
At the beginning of her speech, the words of congratulations from the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to the first-year students were given by his deputy Kateryna Pavlichenko and added:
“Today is a very solemn day: the feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the day of the Ukrainian Cossacks, the day of defenders and defenders. From now on, you have a high responsibility. At this moment, you stand up for the most valuable thing in a democratic state — the rights and freedoms of man and citizen. I want to thank your parents, relatives, friends, all those who came today to support you on this holiday day. Success tomorrow depends on your training today and you have several years of training ahead of you. But I wish you that these years were interesting, unforgettable for you, so that the knowledge that you will gain at the university will be very useful to you in the next. Be worthy of the high rank of police officer. Remember forever the words of the oath you spoke today. Learn and serve with honor. Glory to Ukraine!”
The rector of the university Serhiy Vitvitskyi congratulated the beginning of a new stage in the life of the first-year students: “Thank you for choosing our Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs! Good luck to you, health, strength and inspiration! Confidently go to new achievements and victories!”
In total, today, Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs has more than 3000 higher education applicants from 20 regions of Ukraine.
