Passenger traffic at checkpoints across the state border of Ukraine is gradually normalizing
We note that an increase in passenger and transport flows is observed during the Easter and May holidays, in particular at the border with EU countries.
Over the past three days, more than 122 thousand people and almost 40 thousand vehicles crossed the border of Ukraine through the checkpoints of the Western Regional Department of the State Border Service. At the same time, the advantage of the departure of citizens outside Ukraine over the entrance is recorded.
The situational growth of passenger traffic, as well as the implementation of additional inspection measures by related parties, cause a certain accumulation of passengers and transport leaving Ukraine.
This morning, queues of passenger cars leaving Ukraine were observed at the following checkpoints on the border with:
Republic of Poland: “Jagodin” - 50, “Rava-Ruska” - 50, “Grushev” - 20, “Shegyny” - 50, “Krakivets” - 30.
Slovak Republic: “M.Berezny” - 35, “Uzhgorod” - 120.
Hungary: “Ysa” - 40.
Ukrainian border guards make every effort so that fellow citizens and guests of our state do not feel discomfort when crossing the state border. For this, additional border outfits are involved, interaction is carried out with border guards of neighboring states to speed up registration procedures.
Information about the queues of passenger cars in front of checkpoints (from the Ukrainian side) with neighboring states is updated every three hours daily from 06:00 to 18:00 on the Facebook page of the Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Recall that a mandatory condition is to stay at the checkpoints in a protective mask (respirator) and observe social distancing. No additional quarantine restrictions for persons leaving Ukraine are provided by Ukrainian legislation.
We advise citizens planning to travel abroad to familiarize themselves in advance with the rules of crossing the border of the country to which they are going.
