The personnel of the State Emergency Service and cadets of the departmental university received the honors “For courage in an emergency situation”
On December 29, a hardware meeting was held in the administrative building of the State Emergency Service under the chairmanship of the temporary acting head of the Service Sergey Kruk, during which the personnel of the State Emergency Service received departmental honors and regular special titles.
Thus, three cadets of the Cherkasy Institute of Fire Safety named after Heroes of Chernobyl of the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine were awarded the badge “For courage in an emergency”. The future officers of the Rescue Service received awards for their indifference and professional actions that saved the lives of two men.
Recall that on December 25, the second year cadets of the CIPB Denis Koval, Yuriy Naryzhny and Sergey Shkumatov served at the training complex of the institute in the Dakhnivka district in Cherkasy. At some point they heard cries for help from the local reservoir and in a few minutes they ran to the river. As it turned out, the two fishermen were in the icy water and almost did not move. The cadets were not lost and crawled closer to the edge of the armhole, and then took turns pulling out the frozen men. The injured 75-year-old and 57-year-old fishermen were given warm clothes and called an ambulance.
The Chief of the State Emergency Service thanked the boys for the lives saved and wished not to lose this humanity and desire to help those in need.
In addition, for personal courage and courage during the elimination of the consequences of emergency situations, exemplary performance of official duties and high professionalism, the breastplate “For courage in an emergency situation” was also awarded to the pyrotechnician of the Mobile Rescue Center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Artem Tkam Chenchenko and the commander of the department of the 4th State Fire and Rescue Department of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the city. In turn, firefighters Maxim Lantsov from Kirovohrad region and Igor Bobir from Poltava region received additional special titles.
