Operation “Migrant” - 1.5 thousand violators of migration legislation were exposed in Kyiv region in September
As a result of the “Migrant” operation in Kyiv and the region, 1501 violators of migration legislation were identified, who paid UAH 3.8 million in fines to the budget of Ukraine. 631 illegal migrants were forcibly returned to the country of origin.
During September 2021, preventive measures to monitor the implementation of legislation in the field of migration continued in Ukraine. Employees of the Central Interregional Department of the State Health Service in the city. Kyiv and Kyiv region systematically inspected markets, hostels, construction sites, etc., in order to identify unsettled migrants. Foreign citizens working as taxi drivers and couriers in delivery services were under the watchful eye of the migration service, inspections of educational institutions providing educational services to foreigners were carried out.
As a result, in just one month, 1501 violators of the legislation on the legal status of foreigners and stateless persons were found on the territory of Kyiv and the region. Among them, both guests of our country who neglected the rules of stay in Ukraine, and our compatriots, who violated the procedure for employment, admission to study, provision of housing to foreigners and their registration. Violators were brought to administrative responsibility and fined a total amount of 3.8 million hryvnias. 631 unsettled migrants have been decided to forcibly return and expel them from Ukraine.
It is worth noting that overcoming illegal migration is not limited to the terms of the operation “Migrant”, but remains a priority direction of the Migration Service.
