Operation “Carpathians - 2021”: Border guards together with national guards guard the border in Transcarpathia
In Transcarpathia, the operation “Carpathians — 2021” continues, which is carried out on the initiative of the State Border Service of Ukraine.
The main objective of the measures is to prevent and counteract the illegal movement across the state border of illegal migrants, tobacco products, as well as other goods and goods.
Representatives of various law enforcement agencies of Ukraine were involved in the operation. In addition, interaction with border guards of neighboring countries is constantly carried out.
Yesterday, the troops of the National Guard arrived at the site of the Mukachevo detachment, and since then joint border outfits will be patrolled by the state border. The main efforts of law enforcement are focused on the Ukrainian-Romanian border, where attempts of illegal movement of tobacco products are constantly recorded, and with the onset of favorable weather conditions, such attempts have intensified.
Before the start of joint patrols, law enforcement officers held a meeting at which they discussed the specifics of the detachment site, elements of the situation at the border and determined the main tasks for ensuring reliable border protection.
It should be noted that the joint activity of the participants of the operation is aimed not only at detaining the executors at the border, but also at identifying all the participants of illegal schemes — including the organizers. As well as identifying places of accumulation of goods and facilities for the manufacture of counterfeit products, places of stay of illegal migrants, etc.
