Reform Office: The Ministry of Internal Affairs has established a permanent advisory body
The Reform Office will work to ensure the organization and effective implementation of reforms in areas within the competence of the Ministry of the Interior. The relevant order was signed by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky.
“The purpose of the newly created Office will be the development and implementation of reforms in the areas of protection of human rights and freedoms, combating crime, maintaining public security and the provision of police services. Also, significant attention will be paid to the protection of the state border and sovereign rights of Ukraine,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
According to him, the Reform Office will work on the implementation of reform strategies in areas within the competence of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He will be directly involved in the implementation of public administration reforms in the ministry.
The main tasks of the Office:
- development and submission of proposals for reforms in the relevant areas;
- involvement of elite experts and providing methodological support for the implementation of reforms in areas within the competence of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
- coordination and cooperation with international technical assistance projects;
- organizing and conducting discussions of the reform implementation process with the public, state authorities, business entities, donors and other interested parties;
- development and maintenance of a system for monitoring the results of the implementation of reforms.
The Reform Office will interact with the structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as with institutions, institutions and enterprises belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and with other government bodies, institutions and organizations to implement the tasks and objectives of the Office of Reforms.
The composition of the Reform Office is approved by the Minister of Internal Affairs.
In accordance with his order, Vagabov appointed Tamerlan Farhad Ogli, adviser to the minister, head of the Office, as head of the Office. Kotlyarevskaya Svetlana Sergeevna, Advisor to the Minister, is appointed Deputy Chairman.
The office will operate on the basis of openness and transparency.
