Odessa law enforcement officers sent to court materials on charges of 52-year-old man in a series of sexual crimes against children
10 girls, eight of whom were under the age of 14, were affected by the illegal actions of the attacker. The accused is charged with rape, depravity of minors, and the manufacture and storage of child pornography. The maximum penalty that he faces is life imprisonment.
During the pre-trial investigation, the police found that for several years the accused under the guise of a young man made acquaintance on social networks with underage and underage girls. Having talked with a new acquaintance, the man trusted her and asked to send him a photo of an intimate nature.
If the girl agreed, the attacker called her, posed as an employee of the body that allegedly controls the distribution of pornographic content on the Internet and, threatening to make compromising pictures public, offered to meet. Fearing the condemnation of relatives and friends, the victims fulfilled the conditions of the man and he, under the influence of physical and psychological violence, entered into intimate contact with them, sometimes filming it all on his mobile phone.
Law enforcement officers proved 26 facts of sexual crimes and committing despicable acts against ten victims.
The offender is charged with crimes under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 3, 4 and 6 of Art. 152 (Rape), Part 1 and 2 of Article 156 (Corruption of minors) and Part 4 of Article 301 (Import, manufacture, sale and distribution of pornographic items — in the edition of the Criminal Code of 2018).
The pre-trial investigation is now complete. Investigators of the Odessa police, under the procedural guidance of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office, sent the materials of the proceedings to the court. In accordance with the sanction of the above articles, the maximum penalty that threatens the accused is life imprisonment.
