Illegally entered the territory of the country — criminal authority “Grandfather” was detained in Kyiv
We are talking about a 56-year-old citizen of Armenia, who in July last year was expelled from Ukraine with a 15-year entry ban.
Repeatedly convicted man has significant ties to criminality. Known by the nickname “Grandpa”. He served a 12-year sentence in penal colonies in the Kherson region and Lviv region, where he had the status of a so-called “spectator”.
In February 2019, the court decided to expel him outside Ukraine. However, two months later he returned to Ukraine - and was again detained. He was expelled for the second time in August 2019 with a five-year entry ban.
After changing his name, “Grandpa” returned to Ukraine by plane in October 2019. Months later, law enforcement officers exposed the attacker.
The third expulsion of “authority” took place in July 2020. Then he was banned from entering Ukraine until 2035. However, this did not stop the man from trying to once again come to the state to spread his criminal influence.
Operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Transcarpathian region and in the city of Kiev received information about another attempt to illegally return “authority” to Ukraine through the Volyn customs checkpoint.
Yesterday, June 18, law enforcement officers detained “Grandpa” on the basis of a court decision. According to his decision, “authority” is placed under the temporary stay point of foreigners and stateless persons who are illegally in Ukraine with subsequent forced expulsion.
The events were held jointly with the State Migration Service in Kyiv city and Kyiv region.
