Our task is to maximally improve the conditions of service of police officers in the area of the operation of the PLO - Igor Klymenko
This was emphasized by the Head of the National Police of Ukraine today, December 17, during a working visit to the Mariinsky police station in the city of Kurakhovo. Igor Klymenko inspected the conditions of police service on the contact line and the material and technical equipment of the new administrative building.
“In a difficult time for the country, you did not betray the oath, you served under the shelling of militants. We appreciate your contribution and do our best to improve the material and technical equipment of police departments,” Igor Klimenko addressed the police officers of Donetsk region. The head of the National Police of Ukraine presented the law enforcement officers with departmental awards and thanked for their conscientious service.
The opening of the new administrative building of the Mariinsky police station took place at the end of August this year. In 2014, the main premises in Maryinka were destroyed as a result of an anti-terrorist operation. 148 police officers took turns working at workplaces, most of the time they served on the street, in patrols, provided protection of public order or traffic control.
Given the degree of damage to the building and its location near the contact line, the leadership of the National Police decided to build a new administrative building in Kurakhovo.
The CustodyRecords project has been implemented in the department, investigative and “green” rooms have been equipped, a new pass-through system has been introduced, 48 video surveillance cameras have been installed. The building is equipped with everything necessary for people with disabilities, and for police officers there are rest rooms and a sports ground.
“This is the first police station in the Donetsk region, which was built “from scratch”. In the future, we, our state, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police, together with foreign partners, will continue the construction so that both police and citizens see that we are developing these territories and strive for peace to come here as quickly as possible,” Igor Klymenko stressed.
