It was noted by the Head of the National Police of Ukraine today, on December 17, during a working visit to the Maryinka police station in the town of Kurakhove. Ihor Klymenko inspected the conditions of service of police officers on the contact line and the material and technical equipment of the new administrative building.

"At a difficult time for the country, you did not betray your oath, you served under the fire of the militants. We appreciate your contribution and are doing everything possible to improve the material and technical equipment of the police stations," Ihor Klymenko addressed the Donbas police officers. The Head of the National Police of Ukraine presented law enforcers with departmental awards and expressed gratitude for their diligent service.

The opening of the new administrative building of the Maryinka police station took place at the end of August this year. In 2014, the main building in Marinka was destroyed as a result of an anti-terrorist operation. As a result, the 148 police officers took turns working at their posts, most of the time on the street, on patrols, providing public order protection or pass control.

Considering the extent of damage to the building and its location close to the contact line, the leadership of the National Police decided to build a new administrative building in Kurakhove.

The Custody Records project has been implemented on the station. It is also equipped with investigation and “green”rooms, a new access control system, and 48 video surveillance cameras.

In addition, the building is equipped with everything necessary for people with disabilities and there are recreation rooms and a sports ground for police officers.

It is the first police station in Donetsk region to be built from scratch.

In the future, we, our state, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police, together with foreign partners, will continue construction. For both police officers and citizens to see that we are developing these territories and strive for peace here as soon as possible, "Ihor Klymenko stressed.
