National police detained drug gang members and liquidated three drug labs

Drug laboratories with a monthly turnover of one million hryvnias were operating on the territory of Kyiv and the region. Their power allowed attackers to sell at least 3,000 doses of amphetamine per month. As a result of the measures, law enforcement officers exposed all members of the group and confiscated banned substances from them for half a million hryvnias at shady prices.

The investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine, with the prompt support of the employees of the Drug Crime Control Department in the Kiev region of the Department of Drug Control under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, stopped the activities of a group of drug dealers with signs of organization. It consisted of six men and one woman, with each of them responsible for their area of work, most of them falling into the field of view of law enforcement for crimes related to illegal drug trafficking.

It was found that the attackers created an extensive network for the manufacture and sale of amphetamine over the course of a year. At the same time, they equipped three drug laboratories that operated on the territory of the capital and the region. The production capacity of the drug laboratories allowed to produce up to 3,000 doses of amphetamine every month, from the sale of which the group received almost a million hryvnias.

The defendants distributed the psychotropic during personal meetings with buyers. For one gram of psychotropic, they received 400 hryvnia. Merchants received funds in cash or on bank cards after transferring the goods to customers from “hand to hand”.

In addition, during the documentation of the members of the group, police officers established a circle of persons who are also involved in the sale of prohibited substances.

Yesterday, May 25, operatives, investigators together with the employees of the prosecutor's office, with the force support of the special unit TOR, conducted 18 simultaneous searches of the participants' places of residence, in their cars and specially equipped for the manufacture and storage of prohibited substances.

During the searches, a kilogram of cannabis, 20 liters of precursors in liquid state and more than five kilograms - in solid state, about 100 MDMA pills, amphetamine, as well as more than 150 thousand hryvnias, 1,700 US dollars, mobile phones, computer equipment, a large number of bank cards, notebooks were seized. with “rough” records and weapons. The cost of seized narcotic substances and precursors is more than half a million hryvnias.

Three defendants were detained under the order of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. One of the men has already been informed of an oversight in the commission of the crime provided for in Part 3 of Art. 311 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment of precursors) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Currently, other members of the criminal group are being prepared to hand over reports of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of choosing preventive measures for intruders in the form of detention is also resolved. Attackers face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
