National police: The illegally occupied part of the capital island should be returned to the property of the city, and the participants of the illegal transaction will be brought to justice
Today, April 9, from 11 am, investigative actions are taking place on the territory of Trukhanov Island. The object is inspected by investigators of the Metropolitan Police, employees of the Strategic Investigations Department in Kyiv City of the National Police and employees of the local prosecutor's office with the participation of specialists of the Kyiv City State Administration, the Environmental Inspectorate and the State Geocadastre.
According to preliminary information, individual citizens voluntarily seized a part of Trukhana Island with an area of more than 1 hectare and set up a base there for one of the security firms. At the same time, a fence was erected along the coastal protection strip along the perimeter of the site, thereby blocking citizens free access to the territory of the island and to the coastline. Recall that the territory of Trukhaniv Island has the status of a landscape reserve of local importance and is protected by law.
At present, it has been established that the local authorities have not taken any decisions on the transfer of this land into ownership or use (lease). In addition, no documents were issued or registered that provide the right to carry out preparatory, construction works and certify the readiness for operation of construction objects on this site.
During the inspection of the territory, buildings and structures that are located on it, employees of the capital's landscaping dismantle the self-installed fencing fence. In the future, all illegally built structures are subject to demolition, and the illegally occupied site should be returned to the municipal property of Kiev.
Please note that the inspection of this territory takes place within the framework of the pre-trial investigation according to the decision of the judge of the Podolsky District Court of the city of Kyiv. Carrying out this investigative action is necessary to collect a complete evidence base in criminal proceedings. All procedural actions are carried out in agreement with the Podolsk District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Kiev.
