The National Police will comprehensively contribute to the objective investigation of the crime in which a policeman from Poltava region is accused
Criminal proceedings for information about the rape have been initiated by investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation, and employees of the Department of the Main Inspectorate of the National Police are conducting an official investigation.
On October 12, around 8 o'clock in the morning, a report came from a resident of the Lubensky district that she had been raped at night by two people. One of the men referred to by the victim is a local district police officer who has been on hospital leave since September 30.
After registration of the application, the employees of the Main Inspectorate and Internal Security of the National Police promptly began collecting information about the incident to objectively document the specified fact.
Investigators of the territorial department of the SBI opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 152 (Rape) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In turn, all materials collected during the official investigation by employees of the Department of Chief Inspection will immediately transfer to the pre-trial investigation body.
