The National Guard received the 3rd Airbus H-225 helicopter
Today, the third Airbus H-225 helicopter arrived in the capital, delivered to the National Guard of Ukraine as part of the development of the Unified Aviation Safety and Civil Protection System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
By the end of this year, the aviation of the National Guard should be replenished with 4 more helicopters of the French company.
“As of today, the National Guard already has in its arsenal 3 modern aircraft, the pilots of which have undergone theoretical and practical training from their colleagues in France. In general, the NGU plans to expand the park to 12 helicopters, which will be used for the rapid movement of personnel over long distances to perform specified tasks, evacuation of sick and wounded, implementation of search and rescue measures,” said the commander of the NGU, Colonel General Mykola Balak Lan.
As the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov noted earlier, the Unified Aviation Security and Civil Protection System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine will become the third most powerful in Europe after France and Germany. Ukrainian rescuers, guards and police will be among the first to use state-of-the-art helicopters. The main goal of this project is to provide law enforcement officers with modern equipment to perform their tasks. This project is a vivid example of effective cooperation between the European Union and Ukraine and undoubtedly a huge leap in the technical support of the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the National Guard in particular.
Guards master the new technique and create conditions for its operation. Construction of new hangars for storage and maintenance of French helicopters is currently being completed in Alexandria.
Recall that the first Airbus Helicopters H225 helicopter arrived at the Guard Air Base on December 21, 2018, the second in December 2019.
