National Guardsmen take part in competitions among air defense units of the Armed Forces
On the basis of the military training ground of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in Rivne region, competitions began for the best calculation of the ZU-23-2 among units of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Highly Mobile Landing Forces, Land Forces, Naval Forces and the National Guard of Ukraine.
“Today, at the first stage of the competition, testing was carried out on the theoretical provisions of air defense, recognition of aircraft silhouettes. Further, the standards for bringing the ZU-23-2 into combat position, replacing hot barrels and equipping the tape with cartridges were carried out,” said Major Serhiy Salyakhov, senior air defense officer of the Western Operational and Territorial Union of NGU.
Next, the participants are waiting for the military-sports relay “anti-aircraft biathlon” and combat shooting.
“The first stage has already passed. The opponents are strong, each crew tries to show itself as best as possible, so it is impossible to relax,” said Junior Sergeant Denis Dubenyuk, the commander of the calculation of the ZU-23-2 military unit 3028 NGU.
