The accident occurred at about 4:20am today, September 4, on 177 km of the Kyiv-Chop highway in Pulyn territorial community. After a collision with a bus, the bus caught fire. As a result of the incident, 1 person died and 11 sought medical help.

At about 4:18 a.m., the police received a telephone message that nearby s. The jump became a traffic accident and the bus was on fire. The police officers of the local police department and the accident investigation department of the SU GUNP in the region went to the scene and continue to work today.

It was previously established that the driver of the bus “Neoplan”, a 30-year-old resident of the Nikolaev area, who was flying from Poland to Mariupol, caused a collision with a bus driven by a 40-year-old resident of Zaporozhye.

After the accident, the bus caught fire. There were 25 passengers in it, all Ukrainians. As a result of the incident, the second Neoplan driver died (who was resting), and there are currently 11 passengers who needed medical attention. Full personal data of the deceased and injured are established.

Preliminary legal qualification of the event - part 2 of Art. 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety or operation of vehicles by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigative actions are ongoing.
