In Zhytomyr region, the police detained two men for the murder of a fellow villager
In the evening of October 24, the police received a report about an attempt by unknown persons to penetrate into the home of a resident of the Brusilov community. Police officers found a fire in the house at the scene, after extinguishing which they found the body of the hostess. Two local residents were suspected and detained in the woman's murder. Currently, clarification of all the circumstances in the framework of criminal proceedings continues.
Around 20.45 the police received a message from a resident of the village. Solovievki about a possible attempt by unknown people to get to the house of her neighbor, with whom she was talking on the phone. Inspectors of the patrol police response sector went to the scene, who found a fire in the house.
Police called rescuers and medics. The fire spread to the roof and rooms of the wooden house. After locating the fire, the body of a 67-year-old hostess was found in one of the rooms.
Investigative and operational teams of the Main Department of the National Police of the region and the police department No. 2 worked at the scene of the incident (m. Korostyshiv), police dog scientists. The body of the deceased was sent for forensic examination and determination of the cause of death.
The police began a series of priority actions. Locals said that they noticed two men who ran away from the house of the deceased through the vegetable garden. Subsequently, criminal investigators found that two 26-year-old villagers, who had previously been convicted of a number of crimes, may be involved in the events. The men were searched and detained in the order of Art. 208 (Detention by an authorized official) of the CPC of Ukraine.
Now in the framework of the pre-trial investigation with preliminary legal qualification Part 1 of Art. 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine continues to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
By law, intentional unlawful death of another person is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 7 to 15 years.
