In Zhytomyr region, the police established the place of gunshot wound of a child in Novograd-Volynskyi
On July 12, a 9-year-old boy with a previous diagnosis of a gunshot wound to the back was brought to the district center hospital. As a result of the first-line investigative actions, the police have established the scene of the incident and the likely person involved in causing the gunshot wound of the child. Criminal proceedings have been initiated. The clarification of the circumstances continues.
A report of the incident was received by the police at 2.30pm from medics.
The wounded boy in serious condition was immediately hospitalized in the intensive care unit, where doctors provided the necessary assistance.
Police officers of the investigative and operational team of the Novograd-Volyn district department immediately went to the hospital.
According to preliminary information, the incident allegedly took place on the banks of a local river. However, in the course of establishing the circumstances, this information was not confirmed.
Therefore, the police carried out a number of other investigative and investigative measures and as a result of an urgent search of the place of residence of the wounded boy, law enforcement officers found evidence that the child was injured in the house. A 9 mm bullet and other physical evidence were recovered from the scene.
