The defendant produced certificates with a negative result for coronavirus without passing the relevant studies. Her clients were mostly tourists.

The illegal activities of a 25-year-old woman were exposed by employees of the Cyber Crime Prevention Department in Zaporizhzhya region together with representatives of the Ministry of Digital Affairs. The woman advertised her services for making fake references in group chats on instant messengers and social networks. Clients, mainly tourists, did not undergo any laboratory tests, but only provided their data for registration.

It was found that the defendant produced more than 60 certificates with a negative result of PCR test for coronavirus. The cost of one certificate was 300-400 hryvnias (depending on the time of its manufacture). Fake medical records were issued only in electronic form on behalf of a local private laboratory that studies samples for COVID-19, without being entered into any laboratory databases.

During the search at the place of residence of the offender, computer equipment, mobile phones, samples of electronic certificates issued to different citizens were seized.

On this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Art. 190 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to three years. The issue of declaring suspicion is being resolved. Investigative actions continue.
