On August 19, at 01:10 a message was received from the National Police on duty to the State Emergency Service that on August 18, during the harvesting of berries and mushrooms in the forest area near the village. Poroshkovo of Uzhgorod district lost a landmark and 4 children of Romani nationality were lost.
As of 09:15 the employees of the State Emergency Service found the lost children in satisfactory condition, transported to the settlement and handed over to police representatives.
In total, 73 people and 8 equipment, 2 dogs, were involved in the search work, namely:
- SNS - 23 people and 3 technicians;
- National Police - 22 people, 4 technicians and 2 dogs; - local population - 20 people;
- forestry workers - 8 people and 1 technician.
