In Transcarpathia, the police exposed the ex-head of the village, who caused damage to the state of more than 7 million hryvnias
During the pre-trial investigation, the police found out that a 65-year-old man signed a state act of ownership of a land plot of 9.3 hectares. As a result, the defendant illegally removed the land from communal property, and later transferred it as a mortgage to a banking institution. Subsequently, the official terminated the fulfillment of the terms of the contract, selling the land to another entrepreneur.
Thus, the illegal actions of the ex-official caused the state financial losses in the amount of about 7 million 200 thousand hryvnias.
He has now been informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, official negligence, which caused serious consequences.
For the offense, the defendant is threatened with imprisonment for a term of two to five years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions and engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with a fine of 250 to 750 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or without such. The pre-trial investigation into the case is ongoing.
