In Transcarpathia, the police are investigating the fact of violation of equality of citizens
The police found that in the city of Beregovo, unknown people had pasted letters of a provocative nature. On this fact, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted.
Today, May 3, Beregov police officers recorded the fact of distribution of leaflets with threats to Ukrainians of Hungarian origin. Provocative inscriptions were found on several houses of local residents.
Investigating police classify such actions of offenders under Part 2 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, i.e. violation of equality of citizens depending on their nationality, combined with threats.
At the moment, the police are taking measures to identify persons involved in the crime.
The sanction of the article provides for up to five years in prison.
