In Transcarpathia, a carrier of illegal migrants was announced on suspicion
Imprisonment for a term of five to seven years threatens a 27-year-old citizen of Ukraine, who in November 2020 organized the illegal transfer of two foreigners across the border.
Last year, officers of the main operational-search department of the Mukachevo border detachment, together with employees of the Beregovsky sector of the criminal police in the village of Yanoshi, stopped the Mercedes, in which a 36-year-old resident of Mukachevo was driving.
In addition to the driver, there were five other men in the car: three citizens of Ukraine and two citizens of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Subsequently, within the framework of open criminal proceedings, law enforcement officers managed to establish the identity of the organizer of illegal transportation of foreigners across the border.
The man lives in the village of Teresva, Tyachiv district, in Transcarpathia. The other day he was announced on suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 2 of Art. 332 Criminal Code of Ukraine “Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine”. In case of proving the guilt of the suspect in court, he faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to seven years.
