In Khmelnytskyi region, investigators announced the suspicion of seven members of the OZG who were engaged in the organization of gambling business in the region
Organizers and co-organizers of casino activities in the city. Shepetivka are suspected of committing the crime provided for in Part 3 of Art. 28 Part 1 of Art. 203-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — illegal activities for the organization or conduct of gambling, lotteries committed by an organized criminal group.
The underground gambling establishment functioned in the city. Shepetivka on the street. Vali Kotik. Poker gambling was held there on slot machines and computers, on which special software was installed.
The entrance to the gambling establishment was equipped with video surveillance. Only regular customers were allowed inside — through the backyard on certain days and hours.
At the end of July last year, employees of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in Khmelnytsky region together with investigators of the investigative department of the GUNP of the region under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office and the force support of the special unit KORD simultaneously conducted 14 sanctioned searches, during which they seized a poker table, gambling branches more than 1000 pieces, 36 units of computer equipment, DVRs, notebooks with debt notes, cash received from illegal activities, etc.
During the investigation, a number of additional searches and complex examinations were carried out, the results of which prove the involvement of the suspects in the organization of gambling business.
According to the sanction of the article, those involved may face punishment in the form of a fine in the amount of ten thousand to forty thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens.
